Modern Methods of Construction

OVI uses modern methods of construction to develop schemes with highly optimised programmes and to an exceptional and consistent quality.

Our in house manufacturing capabilities include light gauge steel frame and steel panellised systems, timber frame and timber panellised systems, cross laminated timber systems and light gauge and corten steel volumetric systems.

Structural Insulated Panels

Our SIPs system are a form of composite sandwich timber panel system that incorporates insulation. This is a premium product achieving high levels of insulation, low air leakage and minimal thermal bridging, all factory engineered and constructed in OVI’s facility at a fraction of the time of traditional methods.

Light Gauge Steel

Our light-gauge steel framing systems consist of structural frames fabricated using cold formed steel sections. They can be used throughout a structure, including load-bearing exterior walls, non-load bearing interior walls, floor joists, curtain walls and roof trusses. Cold formed steel sections are light weight but high tensile and also galvanised.

Cross Laminated Timber

Our CLT panels can be used for all elements of a building’s superstructure these are produced from kiln-dried finger jointed spruce/fur planks which are sorted and cut into sheets. These sheets are then stacked at right angles and glued under a high pressure bonding system in perpendicular layers.
